Photographer Klaus Enrique wanted to take pictures of portraits made with food, flowers, plants and other objects.
After studying the intricate art of 16th century Italian painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo, Enrique decided that imitation was the best form of flattery.
The result is his Arcimboldo Series, an ode of the great master of optical illusions. Each image was recreated using the same exact materials depicted in Arcimboldo’s paintings – with materials ranging from eggshells and vegetables to grapes, flowers and bowls. Nice one Klaus!
