First horses then oysters … what’s next?

Supermarket chain Carrefour has recalled oysters marketed under its own brand as well as the Cultimer brand. There are worries that the delicacy is contaminated with the norovirus after this came up in tests.

The supermarket chain urges customers who ate ‘Normandy oysters’ and who display symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea and/or a temperature to see their doctor. The symptoms may occur up to 48 hours after eating the oysters.

The Carrefour Normandy oysters have best before dates of 15/02/13 and 16/02/13. There are 12-packs with barcode 3276550136866 and 24-packs with barcode 3700096607387.

Customers should return their purchase to their shop. More information on 0800/9.10.11.
