Nathalie Dewez’s balancing act in light

We continue to love the graphic simplicity of Nathalie Dewez‘s work, as exemplified by her Balance desk lamp.  The lamp comprises a crooked line of aluminium that sneaks onto along and then over the desk.  A thin strip of light emitting diodes provide the light source.  The lamp is weighted at one end to hold it in place but is otherwise not attached to the desk.  It rocks – literally and metaphorically.  We shot this black prototype version on our dining table accessorised with simple white crockery, a persimmon and a pomegranate.
