Michelin stars in the UK and London are out …

Gastropubs pour toujours!

Michelin came out early with the 2012 UK guide highlights to catch the Xmas shopping wave. There are 4 new entrants for London: Dinner by Heston, the new Hakkasan in Mayfair, North Road and the Pollen Street Social. Furthermore to the shock of those that believe the term ‘gastropub’ is antiquated (Do yo hear me Good Food Guide?), Michelin handed a second star to two of them: Hand & Flowers in Marlow and Sat Bains in Nottingham. You can have amazing food there and still pop in for a pint! There were also two demotions for London Pied à Terre now has only one star and Tom Aitkens lost its single star.

Three stars – exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey
