If in Rome, do as Romans do: check out the new Foodie Emporium; GUSTO.
Gusto is on multiple locations, but there main restaurant is near the Augusto Mausoleum, quite close to the Piazza del Popolo. It’s a restaurant, pizzeria, wine bar, cook book shop, cook shop, lecture spaces, cooking classes, osteria, wine merchant and even an impressive cheese ’emporium’.
We tried the wine bar and the ambiance is very cosmopolitan, ware house, New York, trendy urban space with lots a Jamiroquai blasting away and a cutting edge mix of youngish people from all walks of life. The wine list offers an impressive choice of more than a 1000 bottles, Italian and other. tuesdays and thursday, live jazz music is on offer as well.
